“We believe that Bally’s reputation for creating state-of-the-art gaming solutions will benefit the Italian VLT market, and we look forward to working with them on this implementation,” said Guglielmo Angelozzi, CEO of Lottomatica Videolot Rete.

“Lottomatica Videolot Rete offers Bally tremendous access to the rapidly expanding VLT market in Italy, and we’re thrilled to be providing high-quality operations in the country,” said Marco Herrera, Bally Technologies’ Vice President and Managing Director of Bally Europe and Africa. “We’re confident that this initial order will be the beginning of a long relationship and lead to tremendous opportunities in Italy.”

Including today’s announcement, Bally has strengthened its presence in the Italian market as a provider of VLT devices for the new video-lottery program being implemented throughout the country in public venues. Bally expects to begin delivery later this calendar year.

John Connelly, Bally Technologies’ Vice President of Business Development, added: “This contract, with one of the largest and most respected gaming companies in the world, further demonstrates Bally's acceptance as a VLT leader within the international community and our continued commitment to diversify our revenue outside the U.S. market.”

With a nearly 80-year history as one of the world’s leading developers of innovative gaming devices, Bally brings a new level of cutting-edge games to the Italy VLT market, including the only mechanical-reel games for video lottery, and exciting features for players such as progressive jackpots, mystery bonuses, and game-in-game features.

Bally also differentiates itself with unique and dramatic game cabinets, including the ALPHA Elite V32 with its 32-inch vertical touch-screen display; and the Digital Tower Series, reaching nearly seven feet tall and highlighted by dramatic top-box bonus features.

In addition to innovative games, Bally will draw upon its expertise in central determination and VLT markets to provide a server-based central control and monitoring system designed specifically for Italy’s VLT program.
