The event takes place at the Venetian Hotel & Casino, in Macau

The pulse of the Asian industry was experimented at the first day of G2E Asia 2011

Held in the pavilions of majestic Venetian Hotel & Casino, the event presented international leaders such as IGT, Aristocrat, Bally Technologies, Konami, Shuffle Master, Novomatic, TCS John Huxley, Ainsworth, Gaming Partners International and WMS, which counted with the most remarkable booths. Regional leaders such as Astro Corporation, Kyoraku, Jumbo Technology, Bingotimes, LT Game and Weike also presented big exhibition spaces.

From the beginning, the event showed a good level of visitors, which only decreased during midday, to restart an intense flow of people until the end of the first day. “Exhibitors were pleased with the public we had during the first day of the show,” commented Courtney Muller, Senior VP of Reed Exhibitions –organizers of the expo.

With regards to the products exhibited, most companies presented a wide variety of options developed specifically for the Macau market in particular and Asia in general. It could be seen from the inclusion of versions in regional languages to the presence of typical elements such as dragons, temples, swords, outfits and symbology typical of Asian countries. Besides, due to the great interest of regional players in table games, a wide variety of developments in baccarat, roulette, poker, craps and Sic Bo were presented, both for live gaming and online gaming.
At the entrance of the exhibition, IGT booth welcomed visitors in a wide space dominated by the huge screen of its “Dark Night” based in Batman, and part of the Center Stage Series of the company, accompanied at both sides by successful “American Idol” and “Wheel of Fortune”. There were also classics such as “Sex and the City” and more local developments like “Golden Baccarat”, as well as a space specially dedicated to different management systems offered by the firm.

Besides, Aristocrat received visitors with promoters dressed for the occasion with typical regional dresses. The Australian company focused in specific developments for the Asian market, with a variety of titles such as “Wealth Capital Bonanza”, “Dragon Riches” and “Yellow Dragon”. Besides, it also dedicated a space in its stand to the Server Based Gaming technology. Aristocrat has had a good feedback in the region lately, managing to provide the largest number of machines of the recently inaugurated Galaxy Macao.

Bally also bet for the local offer with titles such as Mistery Progressive “Gold Empire” and well-known “Hot Shot Pogressive” (translated for the region), added to the presentation of the latest cabinets for slots Pro-Series. The firm also exhibited a wide offer of its line of systems, and showed for the first time in Macau its innovative iDeck development.

Asian giant Aruze surprised with the giant screens of its awarded “Paradise Fishing”, a development based in Reed Feel Gaming technology which, with its three 60’’ LCDs, immerses players in a real fishing experience where the biggest jackpots come from the multiple bonus options. On top of them, the company wxhibited a wide catalogue of slots with Asian themes.

In the same line, Astro exhibited a big booth with state-of-the-art technology with a variety of slots, VLT options, double roulettes with real reels and innovations such as “el Trono”,  comfortable terminals with individual seats and double screen to play and gamble.
In the stand of its regional distributor, RGB, Atronic showcased part of the wide offer of its portfolio of Oxygen cabinets, including popular “Hot & Wild”. On the other side, WMS presented to the Asian market its will known titles such as “The Godfather”, “Lord of the Rings” and its “G+Deluxe” collection.

Taiwanese firm Jumbo presented a very well produced stand, focusing in multiplayer gaming options of popular games in Asia, like baccarat, with its “Multi Baccarat”.

GPI presented dealers with typical Asian outfits to show its options related to table games, and debuting with its novel “Potable Chip Reader”. Besides, Konami bet strong with novelties as its Podium video cabinet, Advantage 5 stepper and Advantage Revolution, which is the first Asian development to include a slot cabinet with two high resolution video screens combined with traditional reels, offering a singular way to play.

While Shuffle Master offered a wide range of online tables for the Asian market, it also debuted its Equinox cabinet with a remarkable number of titles available.

To conclude with the series of proposals for the big manufacturers of gaming machines, Austrian giant Novomatic presents a great variety of video slots and cabinets, a complete installation of multi-players based in well-known Novoline Novo Unity II, also including Octavian gaming systems in its proposal.

Well-known companies as Abbiatti, TCS John Huxley, TransAct, Euro Games Technology, Crane, Ainsworth, AlfaStreet, MEI, Inspired, GemAsia and JCM Global completed the large product offer exhibited in this 2011 edition of G2E Asia.

“Despite being satisfied with the inaugural day of the event, we expect to have more people in the second day, in order to conclude with a very positive event for the fifth anniversary of G2E Asia”, concluded Courtney Muller at the end of the day.
