hat are your expectations and objectives for G2E Asia?
G2E Asia is all about showcasing new products that have been handpicked from our product portfolio as being a great match for the Asian market. Our Booth 1333 will be showcasing Sabre, our electronic casino table gaming product, with industry leading Multi-Win Roulette and Baccarat content. A favourite attraction at every international show and a first for G2E Asia is our award winning Virtual Sports for venues, broadcast, online and mobile. Both are products that outperform competing products in live trials time and time again. Both are visibly of the highest quality, because they adhere to Inspired’s HD Gaming standards.
Tell us a bit more about the new products focused on the Asian market? Which are their main features?
As ever, we are driving innovation with the most recent addition to our casino portfolio, Inspired’s new casino slant top cabinet, called Sabre. Sabre is the only electronic table gaming terminal with “Real Touch” haptic technology, to recreate the physical sensation of playing with real chips, and a second “Player Portal” touch screen, for game analysis and marketing messages. The cabinet also boasts a high definition 26” widescreen, allowing for the sharpest electronic gaming experience and a Panoramic Bet layout with all four tables or wheels viable on the same screen.
The Sabre cabinet is supported by Inspired’s Open SBG CORE platform, allowing multiple content to be installed on one terminal and giving operators the ultimate flexibility in product and content. At G2E Asia, we will be previewing Multi Win Roulette 4.0 and Baccarat 1.0, both in High Definition.
Our Multi-Win Roulette 4.0 is the new and improved version of Inspired’s industry leading roulette product, which has consistently outperformed competing products in venue trials around the world. Multi-Win Roulette 4.0 has the ability to connect to live or auto roulette wheels, and is unique in allowing players to bet on four wheels simultaneously.
Inspired’s new Live E-Baccarat product also gives the player a choice of up to four tables to bet on. Inspired’s Baccarat is more flexible than the traditional table game because it is fully configurable to offer four different game variants from a single table.
Inspired’s Virtual Sports division will be making its Asian debut; showcasing its suite of leading Virtual Sports, including football, horse racing, cycling and tennis, available in both High Definition and 3D.
Approved and soon to be launched in China, Inspired’s Virtual Sports are trusted around the world and already generate in excess of US$7.4 billion in betting turnover and US$1bn in gross win every year.
It is multi-platform (In-venue, Online, Mobile, TV and Terminal) and the multi-language commentary technology generates simultaneous commentary and event audio in 16 different languages. Recently launched via a new partnership with SIS, the Virtual Betting Channel will also be broadcasting live throughout G2E Asia.
Which trends do you expect to see this year at the show?
Casinos in Asia are the industry’s success story at the moment and so I’m expecting there to be a real buzz at the show. For this reason, investment in new technology will be the key trend. We expect to see an increasing demand for server-based gaming (SBG) products, because it’s the technology of the future. Old-school land-based analogue products are being outshined by new SBG products. Inspired’s Open SBG CORE technology has proven to increase incomes for operators, thanks to more content choice, regular updates, and intelligent data analysis.
Operators are quickly realising Open SBG CORE technology is not only cheaper than other SBG manufacturers and analogue gaming equipment, but it is also the only SBG technology which does not require re-engineering the casino floor. The overwhelming benefits of SBG technology has lead to even the most established venues installing SBG terminals as part of their existing floor. It can easily be integrated into the existing gaming mix.
How important is Macau's market for your company?
Macau is a well established and credible market, with a strong presence of electronic table games. As a major supplier of this sector, and the leading provider in SBG technology, Macau’s market is very important for Inspired.
We are also excited about meeting new people at the show and catching up with old acquaintances. The diary is filling up already, but we’ve got a large team heading out to Asia for the show so anyone can visit the booth for a demonstration and will be well looked after.
Macau is currently considered the leading international gaming market surpassing Las Vegas. Do you think that it is a market with options to keep on growing?
We see Macau as a huge growth opportunity for server-based gaming, in particular we see electronic gaming products going from strength to strength, especially those like ours which can be connected to live tables. We are very positive about the future of Macau.
In terms of Inspired’s sales in the region, we are very optimistic that we will be announcing some significant deals after the show. Thanks to the success of our products in Europe, and the growing demand for served-based gaming technology, expectations are high for G2E Asia. Asia is a key company focus and we think we have a lot to offer operators in this region.
As operators from different Asian countries visit G2E in Macau, which is your strategy for the Asian market in general?
We’re confident that now is the right time to launch a new electronic table gaming product to operators in the region, who should be looking for cutting edge products to maintain and grow their incomes.
Inspired already has a substantial deployment in the Asian market place. We see the G2E Macau show as fantastic opportunity for launching our products to the whole of the Asia Pacific region.
Our imminent approval from GLI for the Sabre cabinet and its content means we ready to exploit the regulated markets of the Asia Pacific. We already have appointments from other jurisdictions keen to visit us, and establishing key relationships across the Asia pacific is at the forefront of our growth strategy.
