That is almost 20 % more than the previous record, us$ 2.5 billion, established just last month.
Data gathered by the news agency indicates that for the first half of May, casino gross gaming revenue already surpassed us$ 1.4 billion.
If such estimate is correct, this will be the fourth consecutive month in which local casinos set a new record for gross gaming revenue.
