Sands needs 7,000 workers for parcels five and six

(Macau).- Edward Tracy, Sands China’s President and CEO, says the company will need 7,000 new workers to run the properties on parcels 5 and 6, in Cotai.

According to previous statements from Sands China’s chairman Sheldon Adelson, the company is aiming to open the first stage of parcels five and six by the end of this year, and others in March and May next year.

Tracy’s remarks were made on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between Sands China and the Macau Institute of Management.

The agreement provides a framework for cooperation between the two parties to promote ongoing education and learning initiatives, to develop management professionals by launching “A Complete Management World Forum” in 2011 and 2012. The seminar series will run every two months starting this May.
