According to Tam Pak Yuen, the government is poised to control the level of expansion of the sector. He said that, “in the future we shall only see the industry increasing by a few percentage points every year.”

He also said youngsters should “think twice” before joining the industry, as it will be unlikely the gaming sector to continue to provide a large number of jobs as it used to in the past.
