H
ave you launch new products at ICE?

Quixant launched the new QXi-200 at ICE, the world’s first computing platform based on AMD’s revolutionary new “Fusion APU” technology. AMD officially launched the chip on January 19th, so we are very proud to be delivering this technology to the gaming industry just the following week at ICE. It is the first time a brand new chip technology has been delivered in a finished gaming product on the same day the chip is released. The QXi-200 is another example of how Quixant focuses on delivering the best possible technology for gaming to our customers. Never before has this level of performance been available in a low cost, fanless, complete gaming solution.

What stands out from its participation in London this year? What has been the reception from the public?

We were very pleased with the high levels of interest in the QXi-200 at ICE. From the meetings we had it is already clear this will be a major product for us in 2011. It confirms our product planning was 100% correct.

How was the fair?

Excellent. The first day was not so busy in the isles, but we were busy all day with customer meetings. The second day and third days the traffic was very high and we had a lot of new customer meetings on the stand. Generally we felt the show had regained the excitement and buzz that it used to have before the downturn. Certainly there is much more activity going on.

How do you expect the market to unfold during this 2011? What is the scenario that could be perceived in Earls Court?

We expect new markets to open which will help to produce growth for the gaming sector, this could be seen from the inquiries that we received from many different countries. So as long as new markets continue to open, there will be new opportunities.

What are your most important markets in Europe?

We have had a lot of success in many of the markets across Europe in terms of our product being designed into new gaming machines. Which markets will deliver the biggest sales is still to be learnt as it depends on how successful our customers machines

What is the importance the company gives to Latin America?

Latin America is a very important market for Quixant. Quixant is unique in providing complete solutions that have great performance but also low cost, essential for success in the Latin American market. Our complete package of gaming protocols, including SAS6.02, is very attractive to smaller local companies as they do not have the resources of large multinational companies to develop these themselves. As Quixant supplies these software modules free with our hardware our customers can are able to be competitive in every market, even against large companies.

What are your main projects for the coming months?

Quixant plans several further product announcements in 2011 which will bring new exciting features never before seen in gaming products. 2011 will be a very exciting year for Quixant. So, keep watching Yogonet for more exciting news!
