Business and Consumer Affairs Subcommittee will discuss gambling expansion

Las Vegas Sands could open its resort-style casinos in Florida

(US).- Las Vegas Sands has sought to bring its resort-style casinos to Florida, and this week may be a turning point, as the state's Business and Consumer Affairs Subcommittee will have a hearing to discuss gambling expansion.

R

egulators in Florida have begun legislation to develop casinos in the state but forward momentum on the issue has met opposition.

Florida governor Rick Scott has reportedly met with Las Vegas Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson since taking the job in November.
