“We focus on cashless systems, and leave slots sales to the manufacturers”

(UK, exclusive Yogonet.com).- DRGT was present at ICE 2011 with all its novelties. Jurgen de Munck, CEO and founder of the company, gave to Yogonet.com an interview and talked about their innovation in cashless gaming as well as the plans for the future.

ave you launched new products in London?

 

 

Yes, indeed. We have completed our cashless gaming solution offer with the addition of the drCARM. This fully automatic cashless redemption machine also works as a bill breaker. Naturally, the drCARM works hand-in-hand with our iButton and drTicket cashless system.


What stands out from your participation this year? How did the public respond?

 

 

Exhibiting at the ICE is of utmost importance to DRGT. We have developed a cashless system that can work on every single slot machine, regardless how old it is or whether it is reel-based or video-based. DRGT is 100% independent. We focus on cashless systems only and leave the slot machines sales to the slot machines manufacturers.

 

How do you evaluate ICE 2011?

 

 

Very well. We have a proven system. Our iButton can be integrated in any slot machine so operators do not have to worry about upgrading their machine park to integrate cashless. This has been a major barrier in the industry. DRGT has taken this barrier away. Furthermore, our system is so cost-effective that it makes great economic sense even for operators of smaller arcade parlors to integrate the DRGT cashless system.

Our unique serverless ticketing technology makes our solution scalable from two machines to thousands. Therefore, the DRGT system is the cashless solution regardless of the machine park size.

 

How do you see the industry for this year? What was the scenario that you could perceive in Earls Court?

 

 

Positive. Many visitors see the benefits of cashless gaming from day-to-day operations or wish to integrate this in the future. We at DRGT recognize the popularity of the use of tickets and so our cashless system will work together with this. The drTicket Serverless Ticketing has the great advantage that the system is no longer dependent on a server. The drSideBox allows the ticket printer to be placed in a secure box when upgrading an older slot machine.

 

What are your most important markets in Europe?

 

 

As we are a Belgium based company, then it’s no surprise to tell you that it’s Belgium. Our cashless system is already up and running in five of the nine casinos in Belgium.

At the ICE show, we did receive a lot of interest from all over Europe and we expect to close deals shortly after the show for further expansion.

 

What does Latin America represent for your company?

 

 

Latin America is a perfect region to integrate the DRGT cashless system.  

 

Which are your plans for 2011?

 

 

This is a fantastic time for our company; we are in true growth mode. We have proven our technology in the home market and players have readily accepted the DRGT cashless system. Now our focus is on the international gaming markets.
