The International Gaming Awards 2011 announced its winners

The glittering Gala Awards dinner was held in support of Care International and Children with Leukaemia charity.

Attended by most influential professional of the Gaming industry from Landbased and iGaming companies and supported by generous sponsors. Successful operators, brands and gaming equipment manufacturers demonstrated true imagination, creativity and - especially - effectiveness to impress the judges.

The awards are decided after an exceptionally rigorous judging process conducted by the most senior movers and shakers in the gaming industry.

Clever Duck Media announced that Dr Stanley Ho received the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Gaming Industry. The International Gaming Awards highest honour, the Outstanding Contribution Award, is given to an individual for their truly outstanding contribution to the Gaming Industry. The Award was accepted by the son of Dr Ho, Mr Lawrence Ho the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong-listed Melco Crown Entertainment.

Lawrence Ho has been described as "the new face of Macau" by the International Herald Tribune; recognized by Asiamoney as "one of the 100 most influential people across Asia-Pacific"; and is widely considered as one of the most innovative entrepreneurs in Greater China with immense vision.

Amongst the winners were some great examples of impressive operators including Party Gaming as Casino Operator of the Year, Betfair as Sportsbook of the Year, Holland Casino as Socially Responsible operator of the Year and Celebrity Cruises as Best Customer Experience.
