René Huibers, Signs4U’s Sales Representative for Europe

“We will keep focusing on high standards and stay competitive to produce quality signage”

(UK, exclusive Signs4U will be present at forthcoming ICE show, and René Huibers, its Sales Representative for Europe, was interviewed by about the new products that the firm will launch at the event, the trends he expects to see and about the future plans for 2011.

hat are your expectations and objectives for ICE?
As the ICE is the most important exhibition on the Gaming calendar and visitor numbers are increasing each year, this exhibition is the best opportunity to meet potential customers. Previous years we have already noticed more and more decision makers are visiting the show. Besides looking for new customers, we are also inviting our existing customers to our stand in London to discuss their operations and demonstrate our latest products

Will the firm launch new products? Which are their main characteristics?
Besides the new improved line of directional casino signage and attractive LED tower light toppers, we will also demonstrate the endless possibilities of our jackpot multimedia system.

We have teamed up with one of the leading multimedia providers on the market today, our award winning solution combines digital signage with real-time integrated jackpot meters. The C-nario system was the best multimedia system on the market, the only development missing was the interface to the jackpot controllers, together with their software developers we managed to implement this last missing piece. Now the system is able to display jackpot data, which is retrieved from various jackpot controllers. This real time data is fed into the system and converted into a graphical, fully configurable jackpot meter. One of the biggest advantages of the C-nario system is the ability to send the local casino jackpot meters over long distances; with this solution we are able to display various live jackpots in hotel lobbies and restaurants & bars all over the world.

With our system, casino operators are now able to maximize the impact of their jackpots combined with commercial messages throughout their entire operation, customers will always get the right message at the right time.

In your opinion, what will be this edition’s main challenge?
With the economic crisis in mind we have to stay 100% focused on our customers, last years were very competitive as casino operators demand excellent products and service levels against the best conditions. Our big advantage is the flexibility of our team, as Signs4U is still a small privately owned company in comparison to other companies. We can respond in a minute to requests from customers and design high quality solutions for every demand against very competitive prices.
We will keep focusing on high standards and stay extremely competitive to produce quality signage to maintain and expand our solid customer base during 2011.

Which trends do you expect to see this year at the show?
Operators are more and more looking for a custom look and feel in their casinos. This is one of the ways to distinct them from their competitors. We believe the demand for attractive custom made signage and casino themed jackpots will grow in the future to attract more players.

The recent launch of server based gaming has also influenced signage, during the exhibition we will show our signage solution for downloadable games, we have adjusted our sign to change in a split of a second to refer to the games played at the moment, this will definitely have great advantages for casino operators as they don’t have to depend on fixed themed signs anymore. This will definitely also bring some new technologies to casino floors.
Visitors of this year’s edition will discover a lot of new themed machine banks accompanied by our signage. We are really proud to say the major slot manufacturers have chosen Signs4U again this year. You will see our signage all around the exhibition halls. We have designed some really mind blowing signs again.

What are your main projects for the coming months?
At the moment we are extremely busy in Italy, we already supplied a major part of signs to Lottomatica which is one of the biggest concessionaires on the Italian VLT market. We are also talking to other large concessionaires to supply signage for their new operations in Italy.

Our South-American operation is also performing really well at the moment, we supply the SA casinos locally from our factory in Uruguay. In 2011 we will be focusing also on South-Africa and Asia, we are always interested in other parts of the world.

Signs4U will keep producing the most visually striking in- & outdoor signage. From single economic signs to complete high-end casino solutions, we built all signage in accordance with the latest- & highest quality standards.
