hat remarkable products have you presented in G2E and which were the key issues regarding innovation for Aristocrat this year?
At a global level, the firm presented the awarded VERVEhd cabinet, with its favourite game: Michael Godard's Rockin' Olives. This new cabinet boosts a major experience with an elegant design, original illustrations and an adjustable sound. It also exhibited more than 200 new games, new math models, VIRIDIAN WS cabinets and Vii and new models for the Oasis 360 system.
In the Latin American section, after the successful response from the new VIRIDIAN WIDESCREEN cabinet presented in latest SAGSE Buenos Aires, Aristocrat will exhibit new titles in English and Spanish: Deep Freeze, Blue Tiger, Knights Challenge, Werewolf Wild, Milkin' It, 50 Dragons, Easter Island II, Miss Kitty, Tiki Talk, Viking Riches, Wicked Winnings II, Wild Gorilla, Indian Dreaming, Sky Dancer, Buffalo, Wild Splash, Sirena's Gold, Werewolf Wild, Jackpot Manor, Lucky Leopard, Mammoth Thunder, Fire Light, The bullet and the badge, Jungle Joe, Chicken 2, Tiki Power, Party in RIO, In the Gold, Timber Wolf, Wild Patagonia, Maia and Jaguar Mist.
With regards to innovation, the new Nteractiv LCD programmable buttons were the stars. It is the first and only color button panel, where messages rotate in the buttons, making the game experience more attractive. Big Bash technology also allows to put animations.
Which has been the feedback of the public?
Absolutely incredible. Although we are convinced that the new products would conquer the eyes of the visitors, we think that the presentation of the new cabinets at a global level, added to the new game releases and innovations for the whole Latin American region, exceded the expectations of the visitors.
How have you seen the event this year? Have you noted a recovery with regards to the crisis that affected the G2E 2009 edition?
Aristocrat is a firm with an important market presence, great product development, technological progress and a great acceptance by operators. These factors have helped during the crisis. As every year, Aristocrat booth had a great number of operators eager to know the new releases and that make us proud as a company.
The year is about to conclude. What balance can you make of 2010, and how will you face the following year?
2010 was an absolutely positive year, full of huge challenges and business opportunities. The opening of our offices in Mexico, the release of the new Viridian cabinets for Latin America and the expansion of the portfolio of games in Spanish were the main issues that supported the growth of the share in the Southern region. The challenge for next year will be to bring more product quality, with the highest performance, together with an excellent customized service.
How do you see the Mexican market today and which do you think will be the key issues for the following year in the country?
The Mexican market shows a vertiginous growth. Our new local office brings excellent support for the regional demands. At the same time, our recent product Viridian has attracted the interest of oprators and we expect big challenges for 2011.
