Interview to Steve Walther, VP of Marketing of Aruze Gaming America

Aruze introduced its new game Paradise Fishing in Las Vegas

(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Aruze Gaming America presented more than 170 games in the latest edition of G2E Las Vegas. It was specially highlighted the new Paradise Fishing title, with Reel Feel technology. In an interview with Yogonet.com, Steve Walther, VP of Marketing of the firm, assured that they have positioned as a serious competitor within the industry.

ow do you evaluate your participation at G2E?
G2E 2010 edition was phenomenal, both for the participation of the visitors and Aruze presentation. We felt a lot of enthusiasm around our stand. The focus was specially put in our Paradise Fishing with Reel Feel technology. The event generated a meaningful interest, as well as our participation. I think we managed to catch the attention of many of our visitors and we positioned ourselves as a serious competitor in the industry.

Which was the feedback by visitors and customers?
Visitors and customers have shared our vision that the latest edition of G2E has seen the industry to pass to the following level, specially to our firm. With Paradise Fishing, Lucky Big Wheel and the new Aruze Steppers, visitors have seen us as a feasible alternative in first-quality multi-media games and entertainment content. Many of they have known Aruze just a few events ago, during the last 18 months, and were impressed with the catalogue presented this year.

Which has been the feedback towards the products and new launches?
The response was amazing. We know that our contents and designs are impressive, but it was good to see the visitors and customers sharing the same opinion. Our G-Deluxe games were praised due to its entertainment, music, graphics and funny games, while our Lucky Big Wheel was enjoyed by all those that wanted someting a bit different in multi-games. But the focus of our presentation, and probably of the whole show was our product Paradise Fishing with Reel Feel technology. During the three-day event, a los of people interested made long queues to test this game. Everybody left with a smile. We will soon present this game to the public.

How did you see the show compared to 2009?
Better. We felt there was more public and decision-makers. In its tenth anniversary, it was good to see the event growing again.

In your opinion, Have you seen a demonstration of the recovery from the worldwide crisis?
A growth in the number of visitors is a promising sign of recovery. We expect this sign turns into a bigger budget by the operators so they spend it in revitalizing their gambling venues with some of the products we exhibit here.

How was this year for the company?
2010 has been an excellent year of growth for Aruze. Even in a slow economy, Aruze has managed to grow significantly, and we want to continue in this line during 2011. If this participation and interest received by our products in Las Vegas are signs, we will face a very promising 2011.

Which are your plans for the forthcoming year?
As 2010 meant a big progress with regards to 2009, we plan to keep on improving with better products in 2011.
