Interview to Giorgio Abbiati, CEO of the company

“G2E 2010 was a much better show, that had brought us lots of important and valuable contacts”

(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Giorgio Abbiati, CEO of Abbiati, granted an interview to Yogonet.com, together with President Giovanni Abbiati and Terry Clarke, Commercial Director, in order to comment the recent participation of the firm at G2E 2010 in Las Vegas. They talked about the feedback received from visitors and customers and about their response to new launches. They also commented that there was an improvement compared to last years’ show and about the future plans of the company.

ow do you evaluate your participation in G2E?
The main goal of this year was to attract as much as possible new clients, that would bring to Abbiati new successful business opportunities. That goal was successfully reached as we did receive lots of valuable contacts, that, we hope, in the future will bring many interesting and successful collaborations.

What was the feedback from visitors and customers?
It was very positive.

What was their response to your products and new launches?
The response was very positive. Our new customized Live Gaming tables had attracted a lot of interest from our customers and visitors.

Like last year, we had seen a growing interest in RFID Chips and Plaques. Even if RFID is still a new technology, we do receive a number of requests from our clients and that show, that Casino Operators are starting to realize the value and the benefits of RFID technology. 

We had also received a very positive feedback from our customers regarding our new Ceramic Chips line. As it was foreseen, a great quality and an attractive price had attracted a number of interested clients.

How did you see this edition regarding G2E 2009?
It was a much better show, that had brought lots of important and valuable contacts. There were more people attending the show, we had met more decision makers, that were participating at the event with the goal to make the contacts and to start valuable collaborations.

In your opinion, did the show demonstrate a recovery from de global crisis?
A bigger number of attendees to the exhibition had showcased their products; it shows that the situation is starting to improve.

How was this year for your company?
It was a better year if we compare it with the previuos year’s results and this situation keeps us positive forwards the future.

Which are your plans for next year?
To keep improving our product line, trying new designs, materials and technologies. Our goal is to look for the best quality and combine it with the best price offer, in order to reach our main goal, that is to satisfy our existing clients and attract new challenging projects. Looking for new partnerships and valuable collaborations is also a part of the plan.
