Statements by Eduardo Aching, Konami Gaming Director of International Sales

“We were able to enter in most of the international markets we planned”

(US, exclusive Eduardo Aching, Konami Gaming Director of International Sales, assisted to recent G2E event and granted an interview to, in which he talked about the products and innovations that the firm showcased at the event, as well as the feedback from the public and the performance of the company in 2010.


hat remarkable products did you present in G2E?
This year we had a series of new and innovative products in our stand. We could name several, including a series of new game themes for the Podium,  the Advantage Revolution, the Advantage 5, and the Advantage 3. We also launched the Top Track, that it is a new community game, and the Rock Around The Clock series for the Advantage 5 and Advantage Revolution. All these products were designed to offer a true entertainment to the players.

Which were the innovations that Konami showcased this year in G2E?
The most important release was the new video platform called KP3. This new platform will allow Konami to increase the offer of innovative and exciting products.

Which was the feedback from the public?
The operators were very excited with our new products, and we received several positive feed-backs from them. They were very happy with the innovations and variety in our product portfolio, from the 3 reels steppers till our community progressives.

How did you see the event this year? Have you noted a recovery with regards to the crisis that hit the 2009 edition of G2E?
The attendance in our stand was much bigger than last year. The visitors from our international markets were at least 3 times more than last year. We were visited by the major operators from Latin America, Caribbean, and Europe. Even though the market is still suffering the financial crisis, this have helped us. Nowadays the operators are investing very wisely the small budget they have, and due to the high performance of our products we have been one of their main options.

The year is concluding. What balance can you make of 2010 and how will you face 2011?
This year was excellent to us. We were able to enter in most of the international markets we planned, and we have seen very good performance result all over. This is very encouraging to us, it shows that we are on the right track, and we have build a solid base to support our customers. We are very excited to start the new year, so we can strengthen our partnerships with our customers, and bring to them products that will make the difference on their floor.
