s the premier gaming exhibition and conference event dedicated to the Asian gaming market, G2E Asia will offer scholarship recipients a first-hand look at the current trends and issues driving the gaming industry in Asia, as well as invaluable networking opportunities with leading industry executives. G2E Asia 2011 is scheduled for June 7-9, 2011 at the Cotai Strip CotaiExpo at the Venetian Macau.
“As the Asian gaming industry continues to mature and diversify, it has become increasingly important to identify and cultivate talented young people who will contribute to the continued development of our industry,” said Brian Thomas, vice president for Reed Exhibitions Hong Kong. “The G2E Asia Scholarship Program enables us to continue our ongoing commitment to the industry by providing future leaders with early exposure to the industry, field experience and resources.”
To be eligible for the G2E Asia Scholarship, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Gaming Management/Gaming and Hospitality Management of FBA at the University of Macau, starting from the academic year of 2010/2011. Applicants must have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
G2E Asia will provide a scholarship of us$ 1,597 to four students for a total of us$ 6,338 for the entire program. The four scholarship recipients also will receive complimentary access to the G2E Asia show floor and networking opportunities, along with a pass to conference sessions, where they can get the latest industry information.
