dward Price, Managing Director of Innocore, commented, “I am delighted and very proud to announce this monumental development in Innocore’s history. Innocore has had 4 years of consecutive sales growth, since the management buy-out in 2006, providing specialist hardware and dedicated software to the gaming industry. There has been a relentless search for perfection from product, product support, sales and customer service. We have strived to not only provide an excellent product offering but to provide exceptional and dedicated support to our customers”
“We see this merger as a significant event that creates the single most capable and effective supplier to the gaming industry. Advantech is undoubtedly the most successful Industrial PC Company with phenomenal strengths in R&D, manufacturing and worldwide sales. Innocore, with its specialist industry knowledge, will bring those strengths to the gaming industry”, he continued.
“As part of Advantech-Innocore we can do things that we only dreamed of in the past. The combined engineering R&D team, of more than 600 people, will allow us to expand and accelerate our product roadmap as well as take on limitless custom projects. I look forward to seeing many of our customers at G2E to introduce the new company,” he concluded.
K.C. Liu, Founder and CEO of Advantech, “Advantech has been looking for the right opportunity to enter the vertical market of Gaming. Innocore has an unrivalled brand name and with an impressive track record of growth, product development and dedicated experience providing the ideal opportunity for Advantech. I highly appreciate the achievement of the current Innocore management team in the gaming computing business. After the acquisition, the current Innocore CEO, Edward Price, who has proven track record of more than 12 years in the gaming industry will continue to lead Advantech-Innocore.”
Innocore’s current staff will all continue in their current roles providing continuity for customers during this exciting transition. Additional support and sales teams will be provided through Advantech’s 4,500 employees in 39 offices in 18 countries. There will be future announcements of dedicated ‘Gaming’ sales and services centres in each country.
Innocore recognised that to continue its expansion it was necessary to own its manufacturing resource to provide more flexibility and enable it to control its own product quality. The firm has been searching for the right company to provide these opportunities whilst enabling Innocore to continue to provide the same level of dedicated service to a growing global customer base.
Advantech-Innocore now owns 67,000m2 of manufacturing facility in both Taiwan and China. No other exclusive PC based supplier to the gaming industry currently owns its own manufacturing facility enabling Advantech-Innocore to provide a unique service to the industry. Advantech also boasts an impressive product range of more than 3,000 products, many of which will be applicable to the Gaming Industry including mobile products for casino floors and standard Mini-ITX boards for top box, digital signage, video streaming applications, surveillance, networking, industrial automation and POS.
KC Liu further elaborates, “The continuous satisfaction of Innocore’s current customers is the very first priority for Advantech-Innocore. To ensure this satisfaction, we will carefully maintain the stability of Innocore’s supply chain, eco-partners and customer service model after the acquisition. Advantech has service centres (local repair, warehousing and assembly) with sales and technical support throughout the world providing further opportunities to provide local and more advanced support for customers”.
