“Our goal for G2E is to display the most complete line of electronic table games available”

(US, Exclusive A few days before the beginning of G2E Las Vegas, interviewed Tim Richards, Interblock’s VP of Product Management, who talked about the expectations and objectives that the firm has for the show and the launch of new products. He also gave his opinion on the upcoming edition main challenges and the participation of the company in one of the conferences to be held within the event.

hat are your expectations and objectives for G2E Las Vegas?
Our goal for G2E is to display to the industry the most complete line of electronic table games available. We expect that our innovative designs and technology will bring electronic table games to forefront of every casino manager’s mind.

Will you launch new products? Which are their main characteristics?
Yes. For the first time at G2E we will display the Organic Island. This is the first multi-game electronic table game product available in this market. We will also unveil a new video platform and our Organic Dice craps game for the first time.

In your opinion, what will be this edition’s main challenge?
We believe that the economy is still weighing heavily on the industry. We are beginning to see signs of recovery and growth in select markets but as a vendor we have learned to work with our customers and be flexible with our placements. We also believe that electronic table games offer operators a way to provide cost effective table product in market segments that are normally not very profitable. This new revenue on casino floors is very welcomed in today’s economy.

Which trends do you expect to see this year at the show?
We expect to see development in the area of immersion technology that brings the players into the games along with more persistence awards and game continuations. We also expect to see more recurring revenue games offered.

Do you plan to assist to any of the conferences? If so, which one and why?
Yes. We will be participating in the “Faux Tables: The New Intersection of Electronic Gaming”. We hope that through participating in this panel we will be able to explain the benefits of electronic table games and how they can provide new revenue opportunities for casino floors.
