For the website award, Gomez’s European network of real-user desktops will test for both performance and availability, assessing them against different ISPs from across four major European countries. In the mobile operator category, entries will be tested against both android and iPhone devices across Vodafone and O2 networks. All operators shortlisted for the 2010 Awards will be automatically entered into the new categories.
David Flower, VP for Gomez EMEA, commented: “Gomez is delighted to be involved with the launch of these two new categories at this year’s EGR Operator Awards. By using our network of real-users, these two Awards are in a unique position of being able to gain a realistic understanding of user interaction, and recognise and reward those website and mobile gaming platforms that offer excellent customer experience. We are very much looking forward to the Awards, and celebrating the winners’ achievements.”
The Awards ceremony takes place on the evening of Wednesday 24 November, at the HAC in London. Last year’s event was a sell out, and tables for this year’s ceremony are fast booking up.
