What does your promotion as Reed Exhibitions’ Senior Vice President mean for you?
As a Senior VP at Reed, this means I have taken on more responsibility. My portfolio of events expanded from five to ten with this promotion and I took on the responsibility of overseeing two specialized sales groups at Reed as well. In addition to G2E and G2E Asia I have responsibility for events in industries including: Book Publishing; Eye Care; Food Service and Pharmaceutical.  A very interesting mix!  Gaming however, is my baby, and always will be.

Which will be your role at the coming G2E Las Vegas?
My role will be similar to the past – I will be overseeing the entire team and working hand in hand with our partners and customers. Tom Loughran has taken over the responsibility of “Show Manager” for G2E, so he will have the team directly reporting to him and he will report into me.  Tom will become more visible in the industry and you will likely see him around the world at Gaming events!

How are you preparing for 2010 G2E? Which will be the show’s main features?
G2E 2010 is shaping up very well!  As you know we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary this year and have a lot of special activities planned!

Attendees will be given a coupon book when they arrive at G2E that outlines our 10th anniversary offerings including a Celebration Lounge on the show floor serving snacks each day, our ribbon cutting will feature a special celebrity and characters from spot machines that have come out over the past decade.

There are prize drawings and raffles for our attendees with the following prizes up for grabs:  $50 AMEX check, and IPad, Cruise for two to the Caribbean, Dinners in Las Vegas, show tickets and more! And we hope everyone will join us at our Welcome Reception on Monday Night at the Venetian where we’ll feature a number of musical acts:  Seven Bridges: A Tribute to the Eagles and Ther Heroes of Rock Ambrosia, Ferry Silvestrer of the Hollie and John Ford Coley.

Which trends will the visitors be able to observe this year?
I-gaming is of course a major topic of discussion and we will be seeing lots of progressive products on the show floor as well. Our conference it temed: The New Casino: Operating at Maximum Efficiency in Today’s World – very focused and timely content for all members of the Gaming industry.

We are also launching a mobile application this year that will enable attendees to search exhibitors and content and find their way around the show floor right on their mobile device.

How did the industry respond to the deal closed with Monografie for next year?
We are delighted to be working with Monografie again and look forward to working with them and the industry.
