WMS files patent infringement lawsuit against Bally Gaming

(US).- WMS Gaming announced that it has filed a lawsuit against Bally Gaming, a subsidiary of Bally Technologies, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division in Chicago.

he suit alleges that several of Bally's products, including its Cash Spin product, infringe WMS patents covering WMS' Transmissive Reels gaming concept and technology (U.S. patent number 7,458,890 entitled "Reel Spinning Slot Machine with Superimposed Video Image" and U.S. patent number 7,585,220 entitled "Gaming Machine with Superimposed Display Image").

WMS is seeking injunctive relief and unspecified damages.
