Rodney A. Butler, Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council, will provide the keynote presentation the morning of September 21. Mitchell Grossinger Etess, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mohegan Sun and Chief Executive Officer of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, will deliver the luncheon keynote address later that day.
“Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun set the standard for tribal gaming in this country, and they dominate the New England gaming landscape,” said Michael Pollock, Managing Director of Spectrum Gaming Group, co-producer of the Summit with BNP Media. “We are thrilled to have their representatives provide keynote presentations at the first New England Gaming Summit.”
The two-day event begins with an evening cocktail reception on September 20, followed by a full day of in-depth seminars with plenty of networking opportunities. Some 30 expert speakers will participate in a conference program that includes the following topics:
• The Competitive Landscape – New England and the Northeast
• Weighing the Economic and Social Impacts
• Racing and Gaming in New England
• Tribal Gaming in New England
• Legislative Update
Well over 100 individuals representing more than 80 organizations have already signed up for the Summit, and the list is still growing. The group includes most of the region’s gaming operators, plus policymakers, grass-roots organizations, civic groups, analysts, architects, attorneys, industry suppliers and others interested in this market.
