perated by industry giants Lottomatica, the modern, vibrant venue at Parco Leonardo was packed with gaming industry visitors and members of the general public and the 60 new Comma 6B Spielo machines were eagerly seized upon by the curious Italian players.
"Everybody connected with the VLT project in Italy has been waiting a very long time for this first opening!" commented Colin Veitch. "We were delighted to accept the invitation from Lottomatica to attend, and it was fantastic to catch up with many of our Italian industry colleagues at the event," added Veitch.
Eurocoin products went straight into action from the very first VLT machine pay-out as Lottomatica's VLT manufacturer partners, Spielo, had selected the Epic 950 gaming printer exclusively for their Italian operations. Additionally, Eurocoin has been awarded the contract to supply licensed slot tickets for Lottomatica's VLT operations across Italy so Colin and his wife Linda were able to witness the first slot-ticket pay-out.
"We are very grateful to Lottomatica and Spielo for their confidence in our TransAct printers and Slot Tickets - it was rather nice to know that we made a minor, but highly significant, contribution to the first-ever VLT pay-out in Italian history!" observed Veitch. "We wish Luigi Cacciapuoti and Alessandro Graziosi and their hard-working teams at Lottomatica and Spielo the very best for the continued successful roll-out of the project"
The successful opening night saw entertainment from artists of Cirque du Soleil and impressive fire work displays amongst others.
