What was Life Poker Championship experience like?
It was better that planned concerning to organization, number of participants and format. Everything turned our very well. Around 300 players were registered, and for the initial charity event two tables were organized with celebrities from different sectors: sports commentators, actors and boxers, among others. We had a great press coverage.

Life Poker Championship was a great opportunity for PokerStar, one of the largest poker online brands worldwide, which also transfers its concept very well to live poker. Mexico is a phenomenal market for them, but they couldn’t have access to it in live tournaments. Now, this changed, because, through our platform, they could do it. It was a very important event for PokerStar.

Do you plan to repeat this tournament?
Life Poker Championship was a national tournament organized together with Casino Life and PokerStars. The plan is to do it every year, but we also want to transfer the concept to the big Mexican cities. From PokerTek we are also open to carry out similar initiatives with other operators.

Which are the dates for the following tournaments?
We are still having conversations on the matter.

Considering that live gaming is not allowed there, Which is the evaluation that Mexican players have?
There is a very good level of professionals. In fact, they participated in this tournament and even a Mexican player won, José Manuel Nadal. Mexican professionals play in Latin America and they have also participated in the World Series of Poker.

Those who are not professionals usually play online poker. They were expecting to have the chance to participate in a live tournament, and Life Poker Championship was a great chance. It is remarkable that two Mexican players that classified through the tournaments in PokerStars.net reached the final table and won a lot of money. This type of opportunities did not exist, but now, with PokerPro, it is possible.

PokerTek has concentrated in the Mexican market, However, have you sold PokerPro table in other Latin American countries?
For obvious reasons, we are very busy with Mexico. But, from these three last months of 2010, our idea is to target other countries such as Peru, Panama, Argentina and Colombia, where some characteristics of the Mexican market are repeated. We are already working on this.

Would poker be strong point or would you also target other table games?
Poker is the game we have established through PokerPro platform. But with ProCore we are expanding our platform. We will incorporate more markets, which we will reach with the two products.

Which are your future projects?
With regards to tournaments, we are now dedicated to celebrate that the first one was so well. In the following months we will focus to plan the future event. We still do not know with whom or how, but we are sure that we will organize more tournaments.
