CIJUEGO organizers evaluated their first edition in Peru

The congress counted with the strong presence of local organizers and their managers, who expressed their satisfaction to the organizers, due to the innovative format that gathers an academic contest, together with a Corporate Show.

CIJUEGO Peru also deserved the best comments from the exhibitors of the Corporate Show held within the meeting, which was held in Atlantic City Convention Center, because the new scheme produced excellent results to both manufacturers and distributors with a moderate investment.

The solid institutional support received by part of the associations of operators of the country, headed by SONAJA and the General Direction of Casinos and Slots of MINCETUR, also defined the future of this initiative, in which the maximum regulatory authority of the sector in Peru, represented by Engineer Manuel San Román, announced the start of the On-Line system, that would start operating in the country in 2011. He said that “such mechanism intends to control and supervise slots at a national level, and even determine the taxable income; send reports to MINCETUR and also offer services such as consults of the states of the files, reports and registrations”.

This issue will have special significance in the second edition of CIJUEGO Peru because it means a true technological revolution that places the games of chance industry at the forefront, comparing it with nations with highly developed markets and several years of validity.

From now on, the organization will create a network of communication and permanent feedback both with speakers, authorities and people interested in developments related to learning and academy, with the aim to offer, in June 8-9, 2011, an International Gaming Congress, with a thematic offer more and more updated for the growth of the industry.

Once the congress is concluded, the event’s General Director, José Aníbal Aguirre, expressed: “The acceptance and the number of visitors we achieved show the success of CIJUEGO Peru; besides, it is very important for us that the main brands of manufacturers and distributors that assisted to the show demanded the confirmation of their booth for the following edition.”

He was also pleased by the progress in a strategic alliance with the Institute of Advanced Studies of the Gaming Industry, of the University of Nevada in Reno, US.
