Mexico: Monterrey to refuse permission for more casinos

(Mexico).- Monterrey Council will refuse permission for the proliferation of more casinos in the city, or at least it intends to do so, because the area of urban development halted eight procedures for gambling venues so far.

Monterrey Mayor Fernando Larrazabal Bretón indicated that they will keep the license pending to see if those business comply with the ruling, and, if necessary, they will be closed. “Some weeks ago, a betting center was closed in Céntrica for violating the license, even though it currently has an injunction presented by the owner”, he explained.

On the other hand, he said that a special tracking will be given to business approved last April by the administration of former mayor, Adalberto Madero.
