IGT exhibits innovative games and revolutionary systems at ELA 2010

(Mexico).- International Game Technology is taking part in the 3rd annual Latin American Gaming Exposition trade show, this week, in Mexico City. IGT’s game and systems lineup in booth 42B showcase IGT’s ongoing lineup of industry leading products.

T

he company’s refreshed and revitalized approach shines through in its products on casino floors today. IGT’s showing at the Latin American Gaming Exposition further solidifies the firm’s position as a market leader in driving games and systems performance.

“IGT is driven to boost customer ROI like never before with the latest Las Vegas style games for the Mexico market,” Managing Director of IGT Mexico Rafael Lucio said. “We’re listening to our customers and understand their needs: More innovation that caters to today’s players – faster to market. Technologies that will boost ROI today and well into the future. The products showing at the Latin American Gaming Exposition are just a sample of what the new IGT is truly capable of. And it’s indicative of what’s to come.”

At the Latin American Gaming Exposition, IGT offers the Sex and the City slot – the number 1 performing game in the US. Featuring MultiPLAY game functionality (four games on one machine, each with a different outcome), Sex and the City Slots is packed with strong brand recognition, clips from the show, the people’s favorite characters and tons of bonus action.

IGT also presents its new MEGAfx Surround Chair. The chairs immerse players in game play, and create the well-rounded entertainment experience today’s players have come to expect.

IGT’s new Top Dollar Reel MultiPLAY game is also showcased at the Latin American Gaming Exposition. The Top Dollar theme has been a favorite for a decade, and this 3-D version takes the classic, arcade-style game to a new level of fun. It has the traditional Top Dollar “Take Offer, Try Again” proposition, and not one, but two reel games that spin simultaneously and stop with individual outcomes.

Tipsy the Lucky Elephant has a reason to party with the debut of Party Time! 2 Mystery Progressives. Now with the power of AVP technology, this second generation of the popular Party Time! platform ramps up the fun factor. Four initial base games each with a retriggering Free Games bonus feature plus six progressive levels offer an exciting player experience.

Thanks to IGT’s AV technology, Fort Knox AVP Multi-Game Mystery Progressives turns mystery bonus progressives to gold. Games are available with either a traditional video screen or a Multi-Layer Display model for a 3-D experience your players will love.

Besides, the 3-D technique involves the layering of two LCD screens (Multi-Layer Display or MLD) to create the look of 3-D – without the glasses. Spinning reel games come to life with rounded virtual reels that spin out at the player in 3-D. IGT’s 3-D games kick the entertainment value up countless notches, and this year’s offering includes more jaw-dropping, symbol-popping bonuses and animations.

IGT has given all the control to our operators and players with IGT DynamiX. It’s a bundle of IGT’s most innovative technologies (3-D games, MLD, AVP and Multi-Games) in a complete solution. IGT is the only manufacturer that offers the ability to run different math and graphics in an operator-configurable multi-game configuration. IGT Dynamix also gives players choices, right now. Operators can run any 3-, 4- and 5 spinning-reel and video games on the same box, letting players decided what they want to play with one onscreen touch.

The Latin American Gaming Exposition will see more MultiPLAY, where players can play four games at once in a single spin. Enhanced video slot versions, Fortune Tsunami and Caribbean Breeze MultiPLAY Video Slots, introduce the Wild Rollover feature, which occurs in both base game and Free Games, taking Stacked Wilds to the next level.

The Latin American Gaming Exposition also sees man-eating plants in IGT’s booth. Mini Venus Flytrap plants in 3-D eat symbols and grow. Loud crunching sounds intensify the plants’ presence. The Little Shop of Horrors movie has been translated into this unique, hexagonal interfaced video slot. In the Free Games bonus, extra symbols turn wild. The plant continues to grow larger each time it feeds on more wild symbols, and when it gets to be full size, the player scores more free games.

The sbX Experience Management System went live in Las Vegas at ARIA at CityCenter in December – and the execution was flawless. sbX is a game changer, and IGT demonstrates its prowess at the Latin American Gaming Exposition. sbX Floor Manager means ultimate access to the IGT game library, while sbX Media Manager enables targeted messages and services to the Service Window.

What was once a multi-year decision for a casino operator is now a 15-second decision with access to the industry’s largest game library. Before, an operator had to make a long-term commitment to a game purchase. With sbX, the operator can now have a machine with an entire library of games tied to it – allowing them unmatched flexibility for game mix decisions. With sbX, operators can more effectively deliver great games and unique applications to the player– right at the slot machine.

The IGT Service Window solution was designed based on Gaming Standard Association (GSA) protocols, and provides a unique player interaction experience. When the player inserts his players club card, a special “window” slides the game screen over, providing a menu of information and services the player and operator can customize. No additional hardware is needed to run the Service Window on any modern AVP machine.

IGT Casinolink maintains an impressive portfolio of products designed to increase operational efficiencies while creating player loyalty and excitement. It links the management of slot machines, table games, account-based wagering, marketing and the cage into one comprehensive system.
