Nicaragua: Slot halls will be regulated and supervised

INTUR task will consist of registrating, supervising and regulating all the slots that currently exist in the country, and after that, it will see the current conditions so then it would give recommendations on the improvements that the owners should do in the facilities in which they operate, so they are comfortable and bring security to national and foreign visitors.

Three categories were established for the operation of these slot halls, through which they will pay an annual fee and they will have to count with a license that will be renewed annually in order to operate.

Incomes generated by these slots, due to the license of annual operation, will be distributed among the National Lottery for its social projects, the INTUR and the National Police in the strengthening of the tourist police, and that will serve to this last institution to support the national plan of tourist security.

The legal director of INTUR, Omar Oporta, pointed that the slot halls regulation will have, among other objectives, to enhance, through controls and recomendations, the level of each of those games of chance, to make them more competitive.

INTUR authorities expect to make make slot halls more secure. INTUR will head this commission by laws 712 and 528 of amendments and addittions to the law 453 of fiscal equity.
