Las Vegas Sands eyes Miami market

Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson has hired a Tallahassee lobbyist and contributed to Florida campaigns, to push for a possible us$ 3 billion resort casino, according to the paper.

Las Vegas Sands has been predominantly focused on its expansion in Macau and Singapore, as gaming in the United States took a downturn amid the recession.

The casino operator plans to open the doors to its first casino in Singapore in May.
