Aristocrat Europe releases its new Jaws Link title

(UK).- Aristocrat Technologies launches its licensed four-level progressive jackpot Jaws Link, based on Universal Pictures’ popular film franchise. Whilst the iconic shark brings instant recognition and a raft of interactive features offer in-play appeal, it’s the hunt and thrill of the chase that will keep players immersed in a spine-tingling frenzy of entertainment.

T

he powerful technology behind Viridian/Gen7 has been harnessed by Aristocrat to develop its most dramatic and thematic Link centrepiece to date. Jaws is encased in ocean-blue cabinets with edge lighting and water trim toppers that change colour as features are hit and bell-ringing buoy toppers that come alive with movement, lighting and sound during play.

Shark gill grills adorn the speakers and the bash button features an embossed shark’s tooth. Stunning graphics and video sequences from the movie are accompanied by chilling sound effects, including the notorious ‘DaaaDa!’ bass line, making for an unforgettable live encounter on both machines and the striking overhead display.

The product incorporates a Jaws -dedicated base game resplendent with movie-inspired, prize-winning symbols including floating barrel, beach closed sign, Orca (fishing boat), bather and snorkel, interspersed with Aristocrat’s iconic royals, A-K-Q-J-10-9. The shark is wild and the tooth serves as scatter. Playing the antebet can bring about frequently occurring random bonus features, ‘Golden Jaw’, ‘Shark Hunter’ or ‘Feeding Time’, all interactive and themed to thrill.

Base game symbol- or randomly-triggered features include a daring dice game and a free games win-multiplying wheel spin. But it’s an exciting Jaws Link feature that delivers the ultimate thrill; a shark-chasing boat trip around a video game board. Land on the same space as the shark to catch one of the four progressive jackpot prizes – mini, minor, major or grand.

The game’s performance has been above the waterline in American casinos and with Jaws now entering European waters, operators are strongly urged to check with their Aristocrat sales representative regarding game approvals in specific jurisdictions.
