Interview to Matjaz Petek, company’s Marketing and Sales Manager

“G2E result was above Alfastreet’s expectations, and we can see demand picking up”

(US, Exclusive Yogonet.com).- Matjaz Petek, Marketing and Ssales Manager of Alfastreet Gaming Instruments, was interviewed by Yogonet.com during G2E event in Las Vegas. He talked about the portfolio of products presented, the markets in which it operates and how novelties will impact in the future succes of the company. He also anticipated the company’s goals for 2010.

ow was this year's G2E edition for Alfastreet? Was it in line with your expectations?
We were very pleased with this year's show. We have seen a lot of booth traffic and also lots of important people visiting and searching for new business opportunities. I can say that the result of the show was above our expectations and we can see demand picking up.

Alfastreet exhibited this year a new development for the US market -the TAGO- and a whole updated product portfolio. How did the visitors and clients received the novelties?
The novelties are going to be crucial for our future success. Operators are asking to place new games into their Casinos in order to regain lost customers and attract new ones. The trend is not only to attract but to (if I can say so) spoil customers with new and fresh games and sensations. Here we have a lot to offer and the feedback from operators on the show was very positive.New product will be also very important for the growth of the entire gaming industry. It is time for bold and innovative products and companies!

Alfastreet has a very solid position in the European market and is growing in Latin America. What can you tell me about this market and, in particular, about Mexico?
In this year we are specially trying to focus our activities on markets that are showing a lot of potential to our type of product. Mexico is definitively between them and we have the biggest market share in the multi-player field on this particular market. But this is not a matter of coincidence, but a result of lots of serious and systematic work and many investments in the market. I can say that our position in Europe is also strengthening and in this year our market shares are increasing steadily.

In terms of new technologies, which are the trends in which Alfastreet is more focused for the near future?
On IGE show in London we will launch a very important new technology. A technology that will define our future products, but I don't want to say more for now. Our focus now is to even improve the player's experience while playing an Alfastreet machine. We are also introducing new games to our product portfolio. Anyway, we are keeping very busy in the last times!

Which are main Alfastreet's goals for next year?
Our main goal is definitively to help the recovery of the sector with our new products and with our commitment to the customer. We need more optimism out there next year!
