Interview with Jens Einhaus, AGI Sales Director

“Everybody is waiting the legislation that will allow Class III in Mexico. All the big players will be there.”

(Mexico, exclusive Jens Einhaus, AGI Sales Director, gave an interview to within ELA event 2009, recently held in Mexico City, where the firm presented its latest products. There, he spoke about the novelties of the company and commented on the feedback received from the show’s visitors, the characteristics of the Mexican market and future shows.


hat novelties are you presenting this year at the show?
We are presenting our different cabinets for the Coolfire II platform, with which we are entering the Mexican market.

Are these games being introduced in ELA?
No, these games have been also presented in other Latin American events, but in Mexico it is the first time. We have three cabinets. One with three monitors, the Super V+ Gaminator, which is our star cabinet; the Novo-Vision Slant Top cabinet and one with two displays, which is particularly important for the South American market.

All of them have the Coolfire II platform, which offers more than 60 latest generation games, presented in various multi-game combinations. All these machines are specifically designed for class III casinos gaming. And for the first time in Mexico, we are also presenting our new Class II machine Microbingo; recently introduced in the United States as 777 Bingo King. 

How important is the Mexican market for your company?
I think in general, the Mexican market will become important for all international companies. Everybody is waiting for the new legislation, which is hopefully coming soon, clearly regulating Class III games. Only then we will see a real casino market. All the big players will be there.

Which was the feedback of the visitors during ELA?
The visitors were high-class. There were not too many, but the ones who came were really high class, high profile and serious about doing significant business.

Which shows are you planning to visit in the short term?
The next show where will be present in Latin America will be the one Peru, which is by the end of August. Then obviously SAGSE, in Buenos Aires, and Las Vegas afterwards.

Besides Mexico, which are the other important markets for your company in Latin America?
We have a couple of important markets. We have Argentina where we recently opened an office, three weeks ago, and we are getting stronger in Uruguay. In Chile and in Peru we are active as an operator, too. Thus we are quite well represented in the markets. Of course it can and it will be better, but this is what we have right now and the base for future growth in set.
