IGT demonstrates ongoing commitment to responsible gaming

(US).- As a reflection of its pledge to responsible gaming, International Game Technology is a proud supporter of the American Gaming Association's 12th annual "Responsible Gaming Education Week," that is being held August 3-7.

uring Responsible Gaming Education Week, IGT aims to heighten awareness about responsible gaming among gaming employees, customers and the general public. "Integrity is the heart and soul of what we do here at IGT," said Patti Hart, president and CEO of IGT. "We're joining forces with the nation's casino industry to sponsor and promote this vital 'Know the Code' campaign. Our commitment to responsible gaming reflects our constant pledge to do the right thing."

Connie Jones is IGT's Director of Responsible Gaming. IGT is the only manufacturer to have a full-time resource dedicated to the implementation of the company's responsible gaming program and policies. Jones' role helps strengthen the bridge of communication and understanding in the gaming industry, specifically between a gaming machine manufacturer and the problem gaming communities.

"We're here to support the AGA's efforts and its 'Know the Code' theme," Jones said. "We follow and promote the AGA's Code of Conduct as our pledge to our employees, customers and the public to integrate responsible gaming practices into every aspect of our daily operations. This week is just one of the ways we communicate that very important message throughout the year."

IGT's involvement in Responsible Gaming Education Week will include posters and table tents acknowledging the occasion at IGT's main offices. "Keep It Fun" wristbands will be available along with informational materials on Educational "Lunch & Learn" sessions, responsible gaming training classes and daily "Did you know?" facts about Responsible Gaming issues will be available to employees, as well.
