Attendees are invited to a Welcome Reception tonight from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Ballroom J at the Venetian Macao. Courtney Muller, Group VP at Reed Exhibitions, organizers of the event, said that 135 companies will exhibit their products and around 4000 attendees are expected. “Tough economic times are hard for any business. In the case of events we have additional challenges because there are so many factors that contribute to a company’s participation as an exhibitor and equally as many factors for the visitors that attend the events. Our goal this year is to deliver a stellar event to the market, even though the event may be smaller in size,” she affirmed.

“What we are seeing with our events around the world is quality over quantity. People still find tremendous value in meeting face to face and staying in touch with what’s going on in their industry. So, while there will be a few less companies this year and a smaller show floor you will still see all of the major players represented at G2E Asia including IGT, Aristrocrat, Bally, Jumbo Technologies, Konami, RGB, ShuffleMaster, Weike, WMS and many many others,” she concluded.

Ai its own exhibition booth number 1321, Novomatic presents a great range of international and country-specific products, including international cabinet best sellers such as the Super-V+ Gaminator, Novo Super-Vision and Novo-Vision Slant Top I with a great range of gripping multi-game mixes. In the various cabinets, visitors will find the Super-V+ Gaminator mixes numers 14-27 as well as a newly developed highly market specific Super-V+ Gaminator mix for the Asian markets.

Octavian will introduce for the first time new games and systems solutions such as High Drive, Sic Bo, Spot The Ball and Octavian EasyStart, at stand number 1123.

Atronic will join its Asian distributor, RGB Sdn. Bhd., at Booth number 424. It will present Stargate SG-1, a multi-bonus progressive link based on the blockbuster movie and popular TV series. Also at the show, visitors will experience Fishing for Jackpots, featuring Asian-themed sounds and animation, bright and fluid graphics and five progressive jackpot levels.

Besides, Shuffle Master will highlight the company’s newest utility products, proprietary table games, e-table platforms and new electronic gaming machine titles, as well as several products developed specifically for the Asian market.

G2E Asia 2009 conferences started yesterday at the Global Markets Forum. Sessions will include issues related to the economic and regulatory themes that are affecting current and emerging markets in the pan-Asian region, taking into consideration the current worldwide economic crisis.

Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, commented: “The new conference content at G2E Asia 2009 has been designed by the industry, for the industry to provide the unique insight and outlook that will help industry professionals succeed in the Asian markets and beyond.”
