The games will use advanced MLD effects to provide eye-popping visuals that will offer an unparalleled gaming experience. PureDepth's MLD technology is currently in use in more than 70 REELdepth video slot machines made by International Game Technology.

The REELdepth machines by IGT were named 2009 Lottery Product of the Year by the Public Gaming Research Institute and were named to Casino Journal's list of the Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products for 2008.

MLD displays contain two or more layers of LCD panels placed in front of one another in a single monitor, with patented technology used to remove interference. The result is real depth, not perceived depth. PureDepth will demonstrate its MLD technology by appointment at the Society for Information Display conference in San Antonio, Texas from June 2-4.

The games will mark PureDepth's first foray into game development for the U.S. casino market. MLD technology is also used in the massive Japanese Pachinko and Pachislot market.

"We're thrilled to work with ADI to expand our presence in the casino gaming market and explore exciting new ways to use MLD technology in games," said PureDepth CEO Andy Wood. "Our experience with IGT in the U.S. and in the Pachinko and Pachislot market in Japan proves that consumers are excited about the effects created by MLD technology, which drive them to play longer and more often, thereby increasing profits for the casino or arcade and the manufacturer."

It offers several benefits over conventional visual displays or conventional 3-D technology: Improves standard 2-D content with enhanced color and contrast. It introduces a new depth effect to content by utilizing the space between two LCD screens and enables 3-D viewing with traditional stereoscopic effects, without negative side effects such as headaches or eye fatgiue. It also offers a combination of 2-D, 3-D and MLD depth effects within one seamless application

"I worked with PureDepth for years as the Senior Vice President of IGT Labs and saw first-hand the incredible impact of REELdepth games with MLD technology," said ADI founder and President Randy Hedrick.

"These new games are an exciting opportunity to showcase the amazing visual experiences created with MLD when using the development tools produced by PureDepth. MLD technology allows us to bring highly interactive skill-based game features to the gaming community that other types of 3D display technologies aren't capable of delivering. I am confident that the collective teams of ADI and PureDepth will bring new and exciting gaming experiences to players.

Since its inception, PureDepth has established itself as an innovator in the 3-D and visualization space, and the company continues to expand its leading technology offerings by licensing and supporting its technology with partners, including OEMs and developers, to bring cutting-edge visual display products to market.
