icrogaming no longer serves U.S-based casino players following last year's attempt by the state of Kentucky to seize the company's domain names in a dispute over illegal gambling.
The move followed the ruling last year by a Franklin Circuit Court Judge which gave site owners 30 days to block access to Kentucky residents or else face forfeiture. Microgaming decided at the time to block any new U.S casino player sign-ups in light of the Kentucky case as well as the implementation of the UIGEA.
Michl Posch, Intertops' Head of Marketing, said: “Intertops Casino is proud to have been powered by such a reputable, market-leading, gaming software provider over the past decade. The assistance that Microgaming has provided in the change process has been extremely helpful.”
Intertops now has two versions of its online casino which is licensed in Kahnawake and Antigua, a Green and Red version, with the Red casino targeted specifically at U.S customers.
Intertops Poker continues to operate on the Microgaming network and to serve U.S. customers.
