Intralot secures 9th contract win in US lottery market

The contract will cover an implementation period, plus six years of production operations with an option for one four-year renewal.

The firm will create a robust communications system for the Lottery that will connect more than 1,250 state-of-the-art terminals and related peripherals to the LOTOS O/S Central System. The conversion to the new system will take place on July 1st, 2010.

The New Hampshire Lottery was the first US Lottery in modern times and has also been one of the most successful. Since its inception in 1964, more than us$ 1.4 billion has helped fund education. The Lottery has recorded us$ 4 billion in lottery sales and other earnings, with us$ 2.5 billion being paid in prizes and other costs. The forthcoming contract with the New Hampshire Lottery will be the 9th contract for Intralot in the US, where the company is dynamically expanding its presence.

“We’re very pleased to announce this Intent to Award contract to Intralot USA,” said Richard Campbell, Chairman of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. “We put all our applicants through a very rigorous vetting process. We found that Intralot scored overall highest during our review process for price and technology and will meet the lottery’s needs for the length of the contract. It’s good news for all our retail outlets and our players”.

“Our players and retailers have come to expect a sophisticated gaming experience, so we ask a lot out of our vendor’s gaming system,” said Rick Wisler, Executive Director of the Lottery. “This system we believe will meet all expectations and provide for future growth and expansion”.
