Alleging that Table Master multiplayer gaming device and system infringes on each of the patents

Tablemax files lawsuit against Shuffle Master for patent infringement

(US).- TableMAX Gaming, a wholly owned subsidiary of TableMAX Corporation, a developer of electronic table games, has filed suit against Shuffle Master alleging infringement of three patents under which it is an exclusive licensee.

T

he complaint, filed in the Las Vegas division of the District of Nevada, alleges infringement of U.S. Patent No.’s 5,688,174, 6,921,337 and 7,201,661, which protect the proprietary electronic devices and system architecture used in the TableMAX multiplayer games.

The suit alleges that Shuffle Master’s Table Master multiplayer gaming device and system infringes on each of the patents.

“We have to aggressively protect TableMAX intellectual property to ensure there is no infringing competition in the marketplace,” said TableMAX CEO Stephen Crystal.

“We previously raised our infringement concerns with Shuffle Master and had to file this suit to have them properly addressed,” added Crystal.
