According to the index, the majority of suppliers that reported rising stock values included Konami Gaming, WMS Industries Inc. and International Game Technology. The index has progressively sunk since its peak in February 2008.

Aristocrat Technologies Inc. and Bally Technologies Inc. both were cited as having a negative impact. "Conditions in the gaming and tourism industry and speculation of high-profile restructurings for selected operators continue to play an integral role in the performance of the global gaming suppliers," the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers said in the index release.

Based on a 100-point value, the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers' index, or the AGEM index, is computed based on each company's month-end stock price and weighted based on approximation of market capitalization.
