WPT partners with bwin for first ever Italian WPT

(Italy).- WPT Enterprises informed this week that it will partner with bwin Interactive Entertainment to create the first ever WPT tournament in Italy.

he WPT Venice event will take place between May 6th and May 10th at the Casino di Venezia, with live streaming of the tournament, final table and crowning of the first WPT Venice Champion also available on bwin’s site. bwin customers will also be able to take part in live betting on the players of the final table whilst watching the action live.

Players are able to qualify online via the bwin site and will be rewarded with an us$ 8,700 package including the WPT Venice buy-in, five nights in a 5 star hotel in the middle of Venice, and travel and spending money.

Additional cash games and side events will take place throughout the tournament along side the main event. The eventual winner will receive an official WPT Venice bracelet and a us$ 25,000 seat in the 2010 World Poker Tour Championship.
