nthony Marnell III cut the ribbon Sunday night on his us$ 1 billion M Resort, accompanied by his wife and Mayor Gibson. This was followed by a private party for 4,000 guests before the doors were thrown open to the general public.
"I want to thank Mayor Gibson and the city of Henderson ... and second, all the men and women who worked day and night to make this resort happen," he said. "It came out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined."
The M Resort is situated on the south end of the strip on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway. In the architectural aspect, the inside of M Resort is said to be “modern Italian, with warm colors, yet simple lines, forgoing the crown molding and intricately designed ceiling features seen in other casinos.” It’s a timeless design and one that’s not going to age or look dated.
Marnell disclosed that “It’s turned out better than I thought it was going to come out. The architecture really came off the way we wanted it to and it’s more open that I thought it was going to be. The response from the people that I know who will at least tell me the truth … they’re just stunned. We did as good a job as we could have done.”
The 90-acre resort is banking on locals and drive-in traffic, mostly from California, to become its regular customers. M Resort has nine restaurants, a buffet that includes beer and wine in its price. It has a cooking studio that can support television filming. The wine cellar offers 120 wines and uses a special dispensing system to preserve bottles.

The 8,547 sqm casino will have around 1,800 slots and video poker machines, and 64 gaming tables. In addition, it shall have a 12-table poker room and a race and sports book.
