New Vice President of Marketing appointed at Greektown Casino-Hotel

(US).- Amanda Totaro, a Senior VP at The Fine Point Group, will serve as Vice President of Marketing at Greektown Casino-Hotel, subject to necessary regulatory approvals, officials announced this week.

As part of The Fine Point Group team of gaming industry veterans recently hired by the property, Totaro’s responsibility will be the oversight of all marketing functions. A turn-around specialist, she will play an integral role in bringing the property out of Chapter 11 by driving profitability.

Two weeks ago, Fine was named Chief Executive Officer of Greektown, subject to necessary regulatory approvals.

Totaro brings more than 20 years of marketing experience with her and has served as a senior marketing executive at three major casino operators: Harrah’s Entertainment; Carl Icahn’s former American Casinos & Entertainment Properties (ACEP) and Isle of Capri. As the Chief Marketing Officer with Isle of Capri Casinos., Totaro was responsible for the entire marketing function of a us$ 1.2 billion gaming company with 15 properties across three countries, serving 10 million customers annually, with a us$ 250 million marketing budget.

Totaro joined Isle of Capri from American Casinos & Entertainment Properties where she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Icahn’s gaming properties in Nevada and New Jersey. Here she was able to drive a dramatic 10 % revenue increase via a unique loyalty card program that succeeded in drawing market share away from key competitors. She was also instrumental in new customer acquisition programs resulting in a 50 % increase in new members and significant increases in average spend by member.

Prior to ACEP, Totaro served as Vice President of Brand Marketing for Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. where she repositioned all of the gaming giant’s casino brands, earning three prestigious Telly Awards for program efficacy and creative excellence.

Totaro holds a bachelor of arts in communication from the University of Miami.
