he central focus of Octavian’s IGE presence remains the company’s end-to-end systems solutions for casino, gaming and lottery operations, including the European debut of the Octavian EasyStart entry-level casino management system. Introduced at G2E Las Vegas in November, Octavian EasyStart provides casino operators with a low-cost entry route to Octavian’s end-to-end tables and slots management system.
“Octavian EasyStart is a new and instantly affordable way for casino operators to deploy our world-class gaming management system in a simple step-by-step manner to drive efficiency and profitability,” says Octavian CEO Harmen Brenninkmeijer.
Octavian EasyStart requires minimal or no upfront investment in hardware. In fact, Octavian will even provide, free of charge, the initial hardware set required to run Octavian EasyStart for a 60-day trial period. Similarly, there’s no upfront investment needed in system software – operators simply pay a competitive flat-rate monthly fee per table or slot machine.
The system comes with full on-site consultancy and tailored set-up, and also includes powerful Business Intelligence tools at no extra cost. What’s more, the ability to integrate slots accounting without the need for specialised slots hardware and cabling means further savings for many casino operators.
To further emphasize the flexibility of Octavian systems, the company’s Symphony platform will also be demonstrated. As part of the Symphony showcase at IGE, Octavian introduce Gextech’s Fantastic League Spot The Ball, now available on both versions of Octavian’s Symphony platform – Symphony LE (Lottery Edition) and Symphony DE (Downloadable Games Edition) – and other platforms too.
The tie-up between Gextech and Octavian will enable Fantastic LeagueSpot The Ball to run on land-based fixed-odds terminals. The new Spot The Ball game is the latest development of Fantastic League, the world’s leading virtual football game. “This is a proven crowd puller – an exceptionally easy-to-play format known by millions, but now delivered with eye-catching live 3D action using the latest technology,” says Brenninkmeijer.
Also making its debut at an international expo will be the new Octavian High Drive Progressive Jackpots Gaming System. High Drive is the latest version of Octavian’s fully integrated auto-payout jackpot concept, which connects small groups of gaming machines and one or more plasmas into highly visual, revenue-generating hot spots. Featuring the distinctive, animated ‘Lucky Bird’ character, High Drive runs six progressive jackpots, two mystery jackpots and an initial set of four themed games – Pilot School, Night Taxi, Cinemania and Grand Cruise.
Experts from Octavian’s specialist Lottery division, OctaLotto, will be on hand to talk through Octavian’s all-encompassing role in the recently launched Lotto Rwanda. The Lotto Rwanda national live draw successfully launched at the end of December 2008 using a wireless ticket sales and operational network designed and deployed by Octavian. As part of a complete turnkey solution, Octavian’s OctaLotto division (formerly GSI, and now a wholly owned subsidiary of Octavian) also supplied start-up consultancy and an end-to-end marketing solution.
Completing Octavian’s comprehensive systems, games and supplies offering at IGE will be the Maverick 1000 and Maverick Novo Platinum EGMs, the company’s highly successful Comma6A-compliant games for the new Italian AWP market, and unique new handheld solutions that deliver content and services straight into the hands of customers. These converged-media solutions, delivered in partnership with Global New Media Inc, enable the delivery of added value games and services direct to casino/casino hotel customers via mobile phones, PDAs and a unique new Wi-Fi TV remote.
