EI reported that Wolfram Diener, VP of Conventions and Exhibitions of the Venetian Macao said the highlight of 2008 was the Hagemeyer Connections Macau Initiative. “The event utilized our facilities in many different ways, our Cotai Arena was set-up like the Olympic Games, the Cotai Expo Hall provided space for a rock music concert, one of our outdoor spaces was the venue for the cocktail reception function and our in-house production team showcased its entertainment skills during the Masked Ball in the Venetian Ballroom.”

“We are honored to have received such substantial recognition for the Conventions and Exhibitions team. This is not only a sound encouragement of our team’s efforts but also a reflection of our commitment to excellence in the work that we do each and every day.”

“We are consistently enhancing our in-house service portfolio, entertainment and dining offerings. That means one-stop shopping for meeting planners’ or event companies’ requirements, and an even broader range of exciting entertainment and fine-dining options. We will ring in the New Year with attractive meeting packages and dinner promotions for corporate groups,” Diener added.

The Venetian Macao has more than 74,322 sqm of exhibition space, and over 24,154 sqm of meeting space and ballroom, as well as six adjacent exhibition halls and up to 108 concurrent available meeting rooms right next to each other, making the Cotai Expo have capacity for some 50,000 people and 5,000 exhibition booths.

The Venetian Macao has hosted 35 major exhibitions and almost 2,000 corporate events with over half a million attendees from its grand opening in August 2007 through 2008, including the 13th Macau International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), Macau International Jewellery and Watch Fair, G2E Asia 2008, Asian Attraction Expo 2008, Wine and Gourmet Asia 2008, as well as a home for Zaia, a permanent Cirque du Soleil show with eight performances per week in its own 1,800-seat theatre.

CEI Asia Pacific Magazine is a leading convention; exhibition and incentive travel publication in the region, and provides latest news of the industry, including corporate meetings and incentive events, conferences and exhibitions and conducts case studies of regional events.
