Quixant to launch two new computer platforms at IGE 2009

The QX-30 is aimed at mid to high end applications and utilizes the latest AMD/ATI RS780E chipset and HD2400 GPU to drive up to four monitors directly with exceptional graphics performance, including HD video playback. A wide range of single and dual core CPUs are available, including passive cooling configurations, all in a 200x200mm package.

The new QXi-100 is a compact “all-in-one” low-power fanless solution aimed at cost sensitive PCbased applications, but without sacrificing crucial graphics performance. It features a sophisticated dual-screen ATI chipset and powerful 64-bit CPU, resulting in performance significantly faster than rival Atom based solutions. Quixant’s usual range of digital I/O, comms and gaming hardware featuresare included and the system comes in a sealed aluminium enclosure.

The QXi-100 costs from us$ 295 in volume. Both the QX-30 and QXi-100 come with Quixant’s wide range of software tools and royalty free gaming protocols, including cctalk, JCM ID003 and SAS 6.02, with more planned for release in 2009.

UK-based Quixant operates its own ISO9001:2000 certified manufacturing subsidiary in Taiwan and an engineering and support operation in Rome. Quixant staff has 15 years experience of designing and manufacturing computer platforms for gaming. Quixant can be visited on stand 4230 at IGE 2009.
