Quixant to launch two new computer platforms at IGE 2009

(UK).- Quixant will be using its expanded presence at upcoming IGE 2009 in London, to launch two unique new computer platforms for the gaming market, the QX-30 and the “Atom smasher” QXi-100 all-in-one system.

he QX-30 is aimed at mid to high end applications and utilizes the latest AMD/ATI RS780E chipset and HD2400 GPU to drive up to four monitors directly with exceptional graphics performance, including HD video playback. A wide range of single and dual core CPUs are available, including passive cooling configurations, all in a 200x200mm package.

The new QXi-100 is a compact “all-in-one” low-power fanless solution aimed at cost sensitive PCbased applications, but without sacrificing crucial graphics performance. Quixant’s usual range of digital I/O, comms and gaming hardware featuresare included and the system comes in a sealed aluminium enclosure.

The QXi-100 costs from us$ 295 in volume. Both the QX-30 and QXi-100 come with Quixant’s wide range of software tools and royalty free gaming protocols, including cctalk, JCM ID003 and SAS 6.02, with more planned for release in 2009.

Commenting on the launch sales director Gary Mullins said: “Quixant is starting 2009 with a bang. The QX-30 is the most powerful gaming platform available and the QXi-100 represents unbelievable functionality at a great price. Both will be launched on our new 50m2 stand at IGE. We will have Quixant engineering and manufacturing staff present at the show to demonstrate and explain our complete solutions for gaming.”
