During 2008 major operators such as 888, PartyGaming, Ladbrokes and Betfair have recognized the strength of both branded and in-house game content from WagerWorks. Diversity is also evident in that the new contracts have crossed all major online sectors. The attraction of server based games allows the immediate integration onto the operator’s existing iGaming platform and WagerWorks leads the field in this technology.
As part of IGT, WagerWorks has access to a broad catalogue of proven content. With its own proven introduction of branded games the catalogue available to operators is impressive. One of the major games is MegaJackpots, the online wide-area progressive with the highest reset jackpot value at us$ 2.1 million. In November 08, a player from coral.co.uk won over us$ 2.9 million, the largest ever win by a British bookmaker customer.
IGE/ICEi 2009 sees the preview of two brand new ‘household’ game titles: Dungeons and Dragons: Fortress of Fortune based on the popular role-playing game and film, and Battleship: Search and Destroy an all-time favourite of classic battle strategy.
WagerWorks will feature both games with impressive audio and stunning graphics and the opportunity to try them out and win one of two Nintendo Wii games consoles.
Commenting on the past year and IGE/ICEi 2009, Oliver Lofthouse, Director and General Manager of IGT-UK Gaming and WagerWorks, said, “2008 was a successful year for WagerWorks and our business results reflected a positive step forwards. Since joining in September I have recognised the importance of combining top brands together with great game mechanics in order to deliver top performing games and this will continue to be our focus. IGE/ICEi 2009 will be the platform to preview the latest of our games and launch the company towards greater success in the year ahead. I look forward to seeing new and existing customers on our stand at the show.”
