Macau's gaming tax exceeded us$ 400 million in November

(Macau).- Macau recorded us$ 400 million in direct tax income from gaming in November 2008, according to the figures recently released by the Financial Services Bureau (DSF) of the Special Administrative Region (SAR).

The SAR’s direct gaming tax income for November increased by us$ 79.7 million, compared with October, the DSF said.

Direct gaming tax income for the first 11 months amounted to us$ 4.7 billion, which was 20 % higher than the expected tax income for the whole of 2008.

For the first 11 months of this year, the SAR’s total public revenues stood at us$ 6.04 billion, while total expenditure recorded in the same period amounted to us$ 2.4 billion, leading to the overall surplus of nearly us$ 3.67 billion in the period.
