Alfastreet’s arrival marks a new era of gaming for Delaware, pairing the excitement of table games with the speed and ease of automated operation," said Robert Neugebauer, Delaware Account Manager for Spielo. "As part of Gtech’s Gaming Solutions group, Spielo and Atronic are proud to combine their resources to create a first for Delaware."
Spielo has been providing innovative gaming solutions to the Delaware Lottery since 1999. Meanwhile, Atronic Americas holds the exclusive license to manufacture and distribute Alfastreet gaming products in North America.
"The Alfastreet product is known for excellence and ease of play, and we expect the games to add a new level of excitement and curiosity to the gaming floors," said Wayne Lemons, Delaware Lottery Director.
Beginning now, Alfastreet games will be available at every casino in Delaware. By the end of the year, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino and Harrington Casino will each have two tables, and Delaware Park will have three.
Alfastreet Roulette uses a mechanical, American-style wheel with 38 spots. The Alfastreet R8 model has eight betting stations, and all players bet together on the center wheel. Making bets is easier and quicker than on standard roulette reels, because players can wager using the touch screen, touch pad, or a combination of both.
The game cues players to place bets, informs them how close they are to the bet deadline, and tells them whether or not they’ve met the minimum bet. When betting closes, players watch the ball spin and bounce around the center wheel until it randomly settles into a spot. After the ball lands, the game instantly pay winning bets.
