Spooner, who has been with GLI since 2004, received the certification this October. His primary responsibility is to ensure quality, so the certification gives further credence to GLI’s commitments.

GLI President and co-founder James R. Maida said, “From the first day we opened our doors, our number one priority has been to give our customers the highest quality service without compromise. We are very proud that Craig, in his position as Manager Quality Systems, has accomplished the very difficult task of achieving this certification.”

According to the American Society for Quality, a CMQ/OE is a professional who leads and champions process improvement initiatives in organizations that range from small businesses to multinational corporations in a variety of service and industrial sectors. A CMQ/OE facilitates and leads teams, establishes and monitors customer-supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment and helps develop measurement systems to assess the organization.

The American Society for Quality has been the world’s leading authority on quality for more than 60 years. With more than 90,000 individual and organizational members, the professional association advances learning, quality improvement and knowledge exchange to improve business results, and to create better workplaces and communities worldwide.
