13.56 MHz reading devices on the RFID pit

GPI to present its wide range of RFID gaming chips and equipment at G2E 2008

(US).- The entire sales team of the GPI group will be present in Las Vegas on booth number 2610 to demonstrate the widest ever-displayed range of RFID chips and applications in both 125 KHZ and 13.56 MHz technologies.


PI provides the widest range of value chips, jetons and plaques under its three major brands: Paulson (clay chips), B&G (injection molded, laminated and sublimated chips) and Bud Jones (injection molded chips). Over the years, more than 100 casinos worldwide have purchased RFID jetons, plaques or chips, including the newest casino resorts such as Foxwoods Resort Casino and Four Winds Casino in the USA or Casino Melincue in Argentina.

GPI continues to adapt its processes and products to produce chips, plaques and jetons which casino operators trust and demand and to permit them to select the RFID system which best suits their respective needs for both security and operational applications such as players rating and chips inventory accounting.

Among the products that will be displayed this year for both 13.56 MHz and 125 KHz RFID systems, a new range of 13.56 MHz reading devices will be demonstrated on the RFID pit, from Black Jack Float Tray to Cage and large capacity Chip Bank Readers, the essential RFID equipment to perform chips inventory at various locations of the casino. All this devices have been developed in collaboration with Progressive Gaming to facilitate the adoption of RFID by casinos with practical and reliable equipment.

Particularly highlighted will be the just released 13.56 MHz TableTop Authenticator that provides a swift and easy way for the dealer to authenticate and value the chips at the table, along the lines of its 125 KHz version. Built-in the table top with its antenna nicely concealed under the layout in front of the dealer, this self-contained device includes a display that indicates in a split second the quantity and total value of the chips placed on the screening area. Aimed at preventing the introduction of fraudulent chips at the tables, it also allows for the pit boss to verify transactions while securing and accelerating payments.

In addition, GPI will also display: its 125 KHz RFIDPoker table, already deployed in several casinos across Europe, a new line of innovative plaques designs and finishes: GPI plaques are unique when it comes to security, quality, durability and class for high denominations and they are highly appreciated by an increasingly demanding Asian clientele. -the Paulson FX layout, US casinos preferred layout, a new generation of displays for American roulette with video reader and new style tables.
